Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites, and we strongly recommend that you review their policies. ICNA reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time.


NOTICE

ICNA wants to provide you with clear and conspicuous notice of what information is collected and how it will be used.


Your e-mail address

Will be used only for the delivery of updates regarding ICNA and to announce activities and programs of the ICNA. It will never be shared, traded, or sold to any third party under any circumstances.


Your mailing address

Will be utilized to plan volunteer activities closer to your residence. At some point, it may be necessary to mail you tickets, CD’s, coupons or other items. This information will never be shared with anyone.


Other personal information

From time to time we will ask you questions about things you can do, places you can go, and efforts you can make. Collection of this information is completely voluntary. We want to know these things so we can provide you with better volunteer options and/or better ICNA services. This information will be shared with others in its aggregate only. For example, we may disclose that there are 20 people interested in the marketing efforts of MFD, but their individual identity will never be revealed.


PARENTS

We encourage parents/guardians to become involved in their children’s online experience. Please discuss use of the Internet and disclosure of information on our Web Sites or any web site with your children. Additionally, parents please discuss this Privacy Policy with your children so they better understand how to use our Web Sites and the kinds of information we may ask of them.


CHILDREN / MINORS

If you are under 18 years of age, you should ask your parent or guardian before giving any information on the Internet (like your name, email address, home address, phone number). We require a signed consent form from the parents/guardian for children under 18 years of age before we engage them in any volunteer activity or register them for an event.


USERS UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE

ICNA is fully committed to supporting and complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. Our Web Sites may provide children the opportunity to volunteer for or attend events for children. Some areas on our Web Sites require our users to give us information, but we will not knowingly ask for, or accept, personal information from persons under the age of 13. If you are younger than 13, only your parent or guardian should access these areas of our Web Sites.


CHOICE

How your information is used: We may collect personal information at your discretion so we can provide you with a better Web experience. The more we know about you, the more relevant the information and special promotional offers we can deliver. Our site does not utilize cookies for personalization or tracking purposes.


REASONABLE ACCESS

We want ICNA volunteers and mailing list subscribers to have access to the information collected on them and have a reasonable opportunity to correct any errors or delete the data. Subscribers can visit here to change or unsubscribe at any time. Volunteers can email ICNA to request any change or deletion of their personal data.
If you are not a subscriber, have entered personal information into a form on our site and would like to be removed from our database, send an email to ICNA. You will be sent an email to confirm your request.

We insure the proper handling of consumer information to prevent unauthorized access or identity theft. We do this by taking every reasonable means to insure your information can not be accessed by anyone except you. All user information sits behind a firewall, and no one except the network administrator has the ability to access it internally.
Members of ICNA have reviewed this privacy statement and must adhere to these privacy standards. They understand the importance of high levels of security and discretion in all functions that deal with consumer information.
